Kimberley Walsh with Hip Retro Style

It is no secret that the 60's influence is here showing up in today's hairstyles. Kimberely Walsh is shown here with a very trendy look. She has a unique headband that is black and has a chain link appearance. It is fancy enough to dress up an outfit for a special occasion or holiday party. Her long locks are loosely curled around the bottom while being sleek and straight around the crown which is lifted up with a bouffant. Many celebrities are adopting this retro style which is popular now and will be into 2008. So, if you are looking for a great semi-formal style that is worn long and down, this may be a good option.

Kimberely is an English singer who is a member of the group called "Girls Aloud." This picture of her was taken at her 26th birthday party at the Burlington Night Club in London on November 24th, 2007. She is also known as Kimba.

Vintage Early 1900 Hairstyle with Hat and Typical Clothes

This vintage picture shows the common styles of women in the early 1900's. This woman is wearing a stylish hat with a large peacock sized feather that was all the rage for the turn of the century and she is carrying a real alligator purse. This photo may have been taken in the late 1800's. She is a relative of mine and this picture is from my archives of pics handed down from my grandmother. Her skirt is floor-length and the top half is rather business-like by our standards today with a matching jacket. Her hands are covered by gloves. Her hair is pulled up into a rather poofy looking hairdo but then covered by that hat. She was quite fashionable for her time. People always looked so serious back then.

This was before women began cutting their locks short which came a little later into the 1920's.

Feathered Hair was Cool in the 70's

The 70's had some really cool hairstyles, but this one is not one of those. This does show the basic idea of how feathered hair was created with the haircut which is layered. The bangs are parted in the middle along with the rest of the locks and then brushed to each side. This was a typical look for this decade and was popular for boys as well as girls. This was hip teenager style for 1977 and we see these necklaces with beads and shells on young people today.

Here is a cute medium to long length hairstyle with headband accessory. This young woman has a layered haircut that is styled to accentual her natural waves. 60s into 70s Hair and Fashion

Now here is some classic retro style. This woman is sporting a 60's style bouffant in the early 70's. Some women at the turn of this decade were still liking the hairstyles of the previous one. It was considered a bit crazy to go for some red hair color. Short and poofy was the trend. Check here for some bouffant how to information. Now, you gotta dig that coat with the brown faux fir and black leather which was actually all new fashion for the 70's.
