If you are looking for an example of a feathered hairstyle, take a look at this one. Brooke Burns has medium to long blonde hair that is parted off center with the bangs brushed to side which is typical of this retro hairdo. The sides are curled back to make the strands resemble feathers. This is done with the proper haircut and then blow-dried with a round brush while pulling hair toward the back. A curling iron can be used to touch up.

This picture of Ashlee Simpson was taken at the Teen Choice Awards in 2003. What a cute girl she is and what a great hairstyle for fall 2007. This haircut would be easy care and styling. Her medium length bright blonde hair is cut in graduated lengths and just falls into place. The shorter strands at the side allow her beautiful face to shine through and they show off her retro big hoop earrings as well. Her bangs are fringy and fun. It's time to think about back to school. While you are getting everything ready, don't forget about your best accessory: your hair. Hayden Panettiere is an important icon for today's teenagers and young adults. She has a starring role on the popular television show, Heroes, which is due to air it's fall season premiere on Monday September 24th, 2007. Long and loose curls with separation and definition are the look of the season as we see here in the picture of Mariah Carey. She has nice thick naturally curly hair that needs to be relaxed before it can be styled into this soft look. A flat iron could be used to straighten the locks and add shine followed by the use of a large barrel curling iron to get the big loose look. One would need to be extra careful with the use of all the heat as it has the potential to be very damaging if not used carefully. There are products on the market and are designed to help protect the strands in these cases.
