This haircut is cut very short on the sides and is left a little longer on the top to allow one to be able to use a little hair gel to create a fohawk. Some fohawks are very tall and made with long hair, but this version is fairly short in the whole scheme of things. It is still a somewhat conservative spin on a hairdo that is usually considered to be punkish. The faux version allows the hair to be styled in many different ways depending on one's mood. Colors can be added for more variety.

What a great long hairstyle for fine hair. Maggie Q is certainly able to pull off a longer style even with a mane that is on the finer side. She has an off center part with chin length bangs that are brushed to the sides. Even though this style is very straight on top until about halfway down, it begins to twist into some very loose spiral curls. The look is that of gentle waves which is very popular for 2007.
The event here is the Live Free or Die Hard (Die Hard 4) Movie Premiere in New York. Her role in this movie will be that of Mai Linh.

Updo's are popular for many occasions including school dances, dinner parties, evening engagements, formal affairs, and even for everyday. Scarlett Johansson has her hair pulled up into a loosely curled hairdo that has a bit of a messy edge. This is a very romantic style that would even be beautiful for a wedding. Her red lips show up against her light blonde locks.

Here is a photograph of a young woman in the early part of the 20th century.
The 1920's were a time of transformation for females and hairstyles were part of this. Prior to this time, women generally wore their hair long. The craze to cut their hair into short bobs swept the country and abroad. The Marcel wave was very popular and this gal has one big wave in the front while the sides appear to be twisted into small curls at about ear length. She may actually have longer hair but pinned it up to give the look of short hair in a faux bob. The strands on top are combed forward and swooped around to form bangs on the forehead. She probably has a bun in the back. This was one way to get a short hairstyle without cutting the hair. This may have been a good option for those who wanted the option for long hairstyles as well.
Are you looking for that wild hair color that is sure to turn a few heads? If you are in the music profession, you may find yourself looking for ideas for funky hairstyles. This bright orange mane would certainly attract some attention. It looks right at home on this medium length flip. Permanent hair dyes are designed to stick around for a long while, but there are temporary choices if you would prefer to have it wash out over time. A wig would also be an option if you would rather get back to yourself quickly after that special event or party.
