If you find yourself fighting the break-up blues, turn your focus onto something more positive like onto yourself and your hair. It is always difficult to end a relationship whether it is what you wanted or not. It is easy to get stuck in the rut of torturing yourself with the "what if's" and this is wasted energy. It just did not work out and what better way to celebrate the new you than to find a new moving on hairstyle. There is something great waiting on the horizon.

Now that you will be in the dating scene again, it's time to have some fun date and party hairstyles. Here is a cute "do" worn by Bree Williamson with some 60's influence and it is all the rage right now. Another retro theme would be this one by Hilary Duff, very cute for a party. This sexy style by Angelina Jolie might be just what the doctor ordered.

Here is a great flippy and fun short hairstyle that would be cute with or without the burgundy highlights for the new you. This dress is great for a party as well.

Sun, summer, and the beach are what you may think of when see this carefree hairstyle by Anna Kournikova. Her long tousled bleach blonde locks shout fun and a sense of ease. Graduated layers take on a life of their own as they fall over her shoulders with slight casual waves.

High school dance pictures from the 70s are pretty funny and these are no different. This top one shows a gunny sax skirt that was typical for this era and both boy and girl are wearing chunky heeled shoes. He has a black leather jacket and flaired pants. The hairstyles of this time were feathered for both sexes.

Dresses were normally long and often patterned for girls and boys typically wore the shiny silk-like shirts that were form fitting and they were patterned as well.

Jessica Simpson has a great head of hair and clip in hair extensions would certainly help one to attain all this volume and length. She is sporting a bit of a flower child style with the braid on one side that is tucked behind her ear. Hair is parted near the center but is not straight. Strands are coiled into loose waves and they cascade over her shoulders. Jessica's dark eyes contrast her light colored mane.

That 60s bouffant seems to be the popular thing these days as Hilary Duff shows us during her live performance on NBC's The Today Show Concert Series. A little back combing on top or a great hair product by Aveda called "hair potion" can transform flat hair into big hair. For today's take on the traditional beehive, long hair in back will get you there with bangs brushed to the side and the front section pulled up and back. This style shows off the length along with the height at the crown.

This would be cute party attire especially for the upcoming 4th of July Holiday. It would work for a special evening out or any social gathering. The whole package would include: black high heels, short red dress, and bangles.
