Here is a beautiful updo for Christmas with a pretty red ribbon laced through the strands to add some festive cheer. If you have a party coming up and are looking for something different, check this one out. This is super easy to create with a little help and how to. Hair is easier to manage and pull up if it is not freshly washed. Start out by pulling hair back and securing it into a ponytail, then take pieces and twirl them around and secure with bobby pins. You could add some thin braids and pull them around then into the style. The look should be messy and not so perfect. Take a thin ribbon and thread it through a large blunt end craft needle and weave it in and out of the hairstyle. You could also add beads and glitter.

Lisa Rinna with Beautiful Short Layered Hairstyle

Lisa Rinna is sporting some real celebrity style with her beautiful short layered hairstyle. She always looks stunning with this modern day shag that gets its roots from the 70s when this hairdo was introduced by popular TV stars of that time. She has shorter layers around the crown to add lift and fullness to this very sexy "do." The real retro version of the shag was hour-glass shaped, but today's interpretations include a tousled appearance to make it fun and sassy. Using a round brush and concentrating heat to the roots while lifting at the same time helps to achieve this style. Using a root lifter hair product cannot hurt. This would be applied to hair prior to styling. The bottom strands are flipped outward while drying and a shot of cold air helps the final set. What a great look for just about any occasion from casual to formal.

Cool and Trendy Hairstyle for Men

Here is a cool and trendy hairstyle for a teen guy. Current hairstyles for men are taking on a retro feel and hearken back to the 60's which was a time of sexual revolution. Gender specific hairstyles were ending with the introduction of bangs and longer hair for males which was brought about by the rock and roll world. Bands such as the Monkeys and Beatles made bangs that were combed forward popular and we see a haircut that has similar to that look here in this picture. This young man's hair is cut so that just the bottom of the ears are showing with long bangs and brush down partially covering the eyes. Hints of highlights are seen scattered through the strands.

If you are looking for a simple but nice formal hairstyle, come check out this one by Hayden Panettiere. She is the lovely young actress who plays Claire on the hit TV show "Heroes" and is wearing a strapless gold dress in this picture of her taken at The 2007 NBC Network Upfront. This would be a great look for a special event like a Christmas party, New Years Eve, or any other semi-formal evening. Her hair is pulled back in a low ponytail that is set off to the side.
