Emmy Rossum has a wonderful example of a pretty long formal hairstyle with jeweled headband accessory and loose curls. This would be a great look for Prom or any other special evening event. She has cascading locks that flow down her back past her shoulder blades as this look is very feminine and sexy with a backless or open back dress. Her bangs are pushed back and tucked under her headband to show off her beautiful face. Her lovely brown eyes match her rich brown hair. Her pick lipstick is a great complimentary color.

Emmy (Emmanuelle) is an American actress and singer. She is well known for her roles in some popular movies such as "The Day After Tomorrow" and "The Phantom of the Opera."

What a great example of a typical 60's family and their hairstyles and clothing. This picture was taken along side a pool in the backyard and shows a mom with her short softly curled hairdo with the top being ratted for the bouffant effect, the dad with his flat top crew cut and heavy rimmed sunglasses, and the kid with her typical pixie cut that was done by her mother and very chopped up.

The fashions during this time and shown in this photo consisted of tight striped swim shorts for men and long shorts for women. This was the summer of 1965.

In the 1950's women wore dresses most of the time and dressing up meant wearing a fashion hat, a bold beaded necklace, and red lip stick.

1950's Beautiful Woman

This vintage photo shows the real meaning of a lady. She is sitting in a chair with her hands folded in her lap wearing a blue dress with short blazer jacket that has a sailor type white collar. Her dress is knee length and her sleeves are 3/4 length. The neckline is round which follows the line of her big and bold white beaded necklace. Her brunette hair is worn short and with bangs that are short as well. Her white hat is quite fashionable and finishes off her very charming and feminine appeal.

Here is a great example of typical 80's style. First we have the bi-level, which was hot then, and is nothing more than big hair on top and long locks in the back. The sides are cut above the ears and the strands are directed upward with lots of strong hold hair spray ( the kind that does not allow your hair to move at all ) and then height is achieved with a curling iron and more shellac-like spray. Evidence of mall bangs can be seen with the first layer laying downward with the second brushed up and back. This hairstyle is shoulder length and of course was better for fine hair to make it look thicker. Big dangly earrings were in vogue then.

You can't beat those sexy stripped jeans that taper down the leg and tuck into the white scrunch boots complete with side buckle. Black and white stripes add boldness that was essential for the true 1980s in-style look.

The pink sweater is covered in white bunny rabbits. A white cowl neck shirt is worn under the outerwear.

What a sight! I think yuck when I look at this picture, but these fashions seem to keep cycling around, so watch out.

There is nothing like a happy bride and groom and here we have a picture of a beautiful couple and their cool wedding hairstyles. The young man an easy full bang haircut for wavy hair, and the lady has a pretty partial updo that looks lovely romantic. The long bangs are straightened and brushed to the side while the back is full of loose curls that cascade down her back. The veil has a tiara head piece for a traditional feel. Her dress is off the shoulder.
