What a great beehive updo that has all the charm of the 1960's but with a modern twist.

BeeHive Updo

This hairstyle has plenty of height and has quite the wow factor. This model has dark brown locks and an off center part with bangs that are pulled over to the side up and over the forehead. The are super straight and stiff with hair product. The dangle down the side for an asymmetrical look. The strands on the crown are pulled back and over a form that give the high lift necessary for this style. Back combing also helps to give more oomph. Super cute 'do that is perfect for a party or anytime.

This is a fun hairstyle with a whole lotta height on top and can be styled with either short or long hair.

1980's Updo

The sides are slicked back and secured at the rear of the head. There is heavy back combing on top and firm hold gel is used to get the stiffness needed for this kind of height. The bang area is pushed up as well as the whole top section in rooster-like fashion. This model has blond hair with highlights and lowlights. She is wearing a simple black dress. This is somewhat like a fohawk.

This bleach blond 'do is has an 80's edgy tone to it with sharp lines and a trendy pink streak on one side.

Trendy Bob

This one has a super choppy look with lots of layers. Super straight strands are made stiff with pomade and a flat iron.  The ends are blunt. The side is combed forward toward the face. The length is ear level.

The top is styled in a smooth manner with bangs and an off center part. Her fringe is brushed over to the side and the sides are brushed toward the back. The curls begin at cheek level. She has plenty of hair and its quite possible that extensions could add the needed length and fullness to obtain a look like this. She has not changed her hairstyle much over the years. The color is light brown with lighter shades of blonde to highlight.

The woman has dark hair that is pulled back on the sides and left longer in the back. The bottom of her ears show. The top section has a twist that comes down over the forehead like a dip. It also has a few waves that add softness and interest. Her lipstick is dark and most likely red. Her white blouse has lace and details. Her husband has the typical clean cut look with a deep side part and a deliberate finger wave on top. Both of them have no stands near the face! Their picture looks a postage stamp on the front of the card that has holy and a ribbon that says: Seasons Greetings. A very nice All American look that was very typical in the 40's.
