80s Flash Dance Look

Here is an example of a big ratted 80s hairstyle and flash dance style tee shirt that is off the shoulder on one side. Banana clips were popular back then and gave the look of a horses mane but this looks like a ponytail that is placed over to one side and then the strands are back combed into a rats nest and then heavily coated with strong hold hair spray. The colors in her outfit include bold and bright contrasting hues. The sunglasses are an aviator style and yellow rims perk things up. Colored rims were very hot back in the 1980s.

Anna Maria Perez with Retro 60s Hairstyle

Anna Maria Perez looks like a hit here in this picture of her taken at the Shizue Boutique Grand Opening Summer Soiree in Beverly Hills on June 26th 2008. She has got some real retro sparkle here with her bouffant on top and long spiral curls below. This hairstyle has the appearance of a partial updo with the back combing on the crown. The hair is pulled straight back and smoothed over the top of the ratted underneath layers and secured high on the back of the head with a clip. This would help to get the height that we see here. The bangs are flat ironed and brushed to one side. She is holding a cute little dog in her arms and toting a fancy hand bag in the other.

Chris Martin with Naturally Wavy Hair

Chris Martin of Cold Play performed on NBC's Concert Series ( Today Show ) on Friday June 27th 2008. He is sporting naturally wavy hair that is worn a bit longer in the back. The sides are short and brushed back. This has a hint of 80s nostalgia to it. His jacket has colorful material of different types wrapped around one sleeve and bracelets of several colors wrap around the wrists.

His bracelets look like those made of recycled rubber by women in Africa to help support themselves and homeless children: Spread the Love to Africa Promotion.

Modern 60s Haircut for Men

There is a strong 60's influence here with this young man's hairstyle. It features a full bang that is combed forward and over to one side.
