Big white sunglasses are hot this summer and they look rather hip on this woman with straight blonde hair. This accessory jazzes up a simple hairstyle and becomes the real focal point on this narrow and oval face. The shape of these is certainly retro, just take a look at these gals from the past. The rims on these come down past the cheek bones.

Brea Grant is sporting a fun and sassy looking messy, straight, and short bob. She has bleach blonde locks that are parted in the middle with the fringy looking bangs. Some root lifter sprayed at the base on the sides of the head will help, along with blow-drying with head turned upside down. Finger styling with some pomade will help with the finished product. She looks like she has had a fun filled summer in the sun with this casual look that can be dressed up or down. She is wearing a shirt dress, wide white belt, and gold flip flops with dark toe nail polish.

If you are seeking the latest and greatest new fall hairstyles for 2008, check out Amber Heard with sister Whitney. These girls have two different versions of some hot new looks.
Amber has a messy and disheveled look with loose beachy waves that are rolled on the sides and secured in the back to give the look of a very low and loosely secured ponytail. The rolls have a vintage flair that gets its roots from the 1940s.
You can see here that Amber has created height at the crown with some back combing and low at the back bobby pins can be used to keep the locks where you want them.
Sister Whitney has a straight version with a bouffant like top that is also created with the same as above and then smoothing the top layer will get you the look. She has pulled the sides of her hairdo back and clipped it there for a partial updo.
The thing that will make these styles modern and edgy is to create a matte finish that can be accomplished with the use of some dry shampoo sprayed on the strands and then do your back combing with a metal tail comb close to the roots. Instead of using hairspray, try leaving it as is. Less shine and more of a beach look is in for 2008-2009.
Oh yes, and don't forget the bright red lipstick!

Adrianne Palicki has a cute and stylish short wavy bob here that would be perfect for a new look for back to school, starting a new career/job, or just for a new look for fall. You may just be looking for a new short cut for a fresh new start after a big break-up. This is an easy care style and totally up to date. A similar do was extremely popular back in the late 80s and early 90s and you can see in this example. Back then the curls were tighter and kinkier and they were accomplished with a spiral perm. They were also much more poofy. Today's in style look is more relaxed and looser. A little curl enhancing product along with a diffuser and finger scrunching will help to get this sassy bob. Winding a few sections of dry strands around a small barrel curling iron will help to seal the deal.
Adrianne's outfit is very cute for fall. Her black tunic top and pink scarf are right in there worn with dark wash skinny jeans.
Here is a great example of a bride and her bridesmaids from the 1970s. Back then women did a lot of sewing to save money and each of these girls sewed their own dresses after the bride sprung for the fabric which is a powder blue color with multi colored daisies. The flowers are yellow along with the ribbons and each girl in the wedding party is also sporting one flower in the hair except for the bride who is wearing a veil. All four have their locks worn down and long and wavy.
The happy couple is wearing white while the mother of the bride has a plain blue dress. The father is wearing a white and black tux.
What a perfect retro flash back for those who are old enough to remember those days, and for those who are not, you can see what a typical wedding looked like in 1976.
