This photo comes straight from the 60's. Looks to be about 1967 to 1970 and has a great example of a red head wearing a classic bouffant.

1960s Red Bouffant

Her color is carrot red and matches the couch that this man and woman are sitting on. Notice the 45 records sitting on the table behind them. Back then record players came in a suitcase looking box. She is holding a gift that looks like it was hidden inside that cowboy boot. Her royal blue blouse has a round neck and her white pearl necklace stands out. Her A line skirt was stylish for the time period. Many women either used dippity do or sugar water to get a firm hold for this poofy look.

Full bangs and a short middle part are the foundation for this simple style.

Variations of color start at the top with mousey brown and change to a warmer shade in the middle and finish with yellowish blonde. The sides are cut in graduated lengths.

This is an easy soft looking hairstyle with a side part and long bangs that brush the corner of the eye.

Elizabeth Olsen

Honey blonde highlights add depth and a touch of lowlights add more interest to the color. One big spiral curl on the side keeps the bangs in place. The rest is left to the natural waves here at 64th Annual Cannes Film Festival – "Martha Marcy May Marlene" Photocall.

Her peaches and cream complexion and peach lipstick along with her lacy dress have a real vintage appeal.

Johnny Depp

Either he found it in the bottom of his closet, or at a thrift store, or it is a brand new hat complete with holes to add to the charm of days gone by. He is also wearing a neck scarf and vintage sunglasses. His hair is fairly short and doesn't show much here.

This is a great vintage photograph showing a grandmother with grandchildren standing in the yard wearing their Sunday best.

1930s Kids and Grandmother

The grade school age boys have short hair with a side part. The bangs are combed up and back in a slicked fashion. Generally speaking, boys of this time period usually wore their hair short on the sides and longer on top just to be able to style it in this way. This little girl has a sunbonnet on to protect her facial skin from the sun. Back then suntans were not fashionable for girls or women and they knew to protect themselves from the damaging rays. The girl is wearing a small cross necklace as it looks like this group is ready for church. Grandma has a simple updo popular of this time. Here is a close up of the kids.
