This is a circa 1935 photograph of three older women that shows typical hairstyles and clothing.
The hair was typically worn short during this time and in a bob. One lady is wearing what looks like a white wool velour hat with a flower on one side and matching long white wool coat and she is carrying a black clutch purse. The other two ladies are wearing calico print dresses.

Here is a great example of a 1920's bob hairstyle. This young girl has short bangs cut straight across with sides cut short as well.
She is wearing a short jumpsuit that is flapper style with rows of feather-like fringe and ballet slippers. She is probably going to be in performing in some sort of production of that time and this is a pre-event photo of her standing out in the yard.

This is a sweet look for a boy. This photo was taken in the 1940's and is a great example of a typical haircut for that time period.
There is a deep side part with the bangs combed up and back. The use of grease and Vaseline were common to achieve the greased up look. This little guy is sitting in a chair wearing short outfit that buttons up the front with collar.
