Ellen Barkin looks young and fun for a woman in her 50's with this short bob. Her light blonde hair is styled into this easy straight hairstyle that is cut above the chin-line. Cutting the back shorter than the front gives extra spunk and bounce to this haircut. Hair is parted on the side and bangs are brushed to the side. This hairdo is short enough to easily show off some dangley earrings.

Women of the 1960's spent a great deal of time to achieve this poofy hair and read on to find out how they did it.

This hairstyle could be a good choice for fine and thin hair. The challenge with this hair type is to find a style that will look like there is more hair than there really is. A short hairstyle is usually a safe bet for someone who lacks fullness and volume naturally. This style is short hitting about at ear level and is straight with bangs brushed over to the side. A texturizing product can help to add some dimension and definition but be careful to use a tiny amount as too much of any product can make thin hair look thinner and greasy. A thickening spray can be very helpful as well.
