Stylish Wavy Bob for Fall

Adrianne Palicki has a cute and stylish short wavy bob here that would be perfect for a new look for back to school, starting a new career/job, or just for a new look for fall. You may just be looking for a new short cut for a fresh new start after a big break-up. This is an easy care style and totally up to date. A similar do was extremely popular back in the late 80s and early 90s and you can see in this example. Back then the curls were tighter and kinkier and they were accomplished with a spiral perm. They were also much more poofy. Today's in style look is more relaxed and looser. A little curl enhancing product along with a diffuser and finger scrunching will help to get this sassy bob. Winding a few sections of dry strands around a small barrel curling iron will help to seal the deal.

Her dark brown hair has a hint of auburn red that shows up in the sunlight. The length is mid-neck and one side is tucked behind her ear while the other has wispy ends that tuck under her chin. What is new for the bob? Asymmetry and not so sharply angled, those attributes are what make this popular short hairstyle hot right now. This woman here has a straight style with one side being longer than the other, the ends are slightly tucked under, and the bangs are very fringy which can be accomplished with a little razor cutting. Her red color makes this cute 'do especially different.

1920s Short Bob

If a little vintage is in order, take a look at this picture of a 1920's woman with a short bob with side swept bangs and curly ends.

Vintage Bob

The part is placed way over to one side and the top is swooped over. The curls are big a puffy but just concentrated on the bottom third and the rest is smooth and straight. The length is just below ear level and up off of the shoulder. Pin curls were most likely used to create the look on the sides.
