Men in the 1940's usually wore their hair on the long side and all slicked back. This look was considered to be Hollywood glamorous for men. Bangs were actually grown out long to allow them to be able to style them appropriately for this hairstyle. Men back then visited the barber for their haircut needs and no doubt paid very little compared to what we pay today at the salon. This look is making a comeback for formal attire as seen with Brad Pitt on this post.
Wow, How did he get his hair into that very tall colored fohawk? His own hair has been braided into cornrows and then the top is likely artificial. This hairstyle is cutting edge trendy for those who like to live on the wild side. For the rest of us, this hairdo would be fun for an 80's tacky party or a Halloween costume contest. This would work for a punk rocker get up.

If you are a guy with fine hair and would like to be able to sport the ever so popular fohawk, then you will probably need to cut your hair very short on the sides and fairly short on top. This picture here shows a great men's fohawk for thin hair. The front top strands are a little longer than the rest so they can come to a point out over the forehead. It is gradually shorter toward the back. Who says guys with thin hair can't be trendy and up to date.

Teen idol Chad Michael Murray has great hair and this picture of him shows off his spiky furry looking head. His hair is short and nicely shaped with some blonde highlights added around his face. The spikes are random and head off in different directions.

Are you looking for a picture of a spiky mohawk for Halloween or any other party? Here is a guy with orange/red hair that is shaved on both sides and only has a strip of dragon-like spikes down the middle. Egg whites would work wonders to make this hairdo. If you are not into shaving your head for Halloween, you could always get one of those caps that make it look like you have shave your head and then take something like paint brushes and cut off the bristles and glue them to the cap. Then take egg whites and make them into peaks and allow to dry. It may be difficult to die the paint brushes but it may be possible.
