I remember the holidays in the early 70s when the adults were still stuck in the 60s like we see here with the bouffant. The adults are usually a decade or so behind on the current styles, but stick around because the styles always come around again with a few new twists. All different types of retro are in today.

This modern version starts with a ponytail that sits high on the crown with hair fanned out too look like this past decades poofy updo. Back-combing under the pony will help create the height that is needed for this retro look.
