The 1980s were a time of "dress for success." Conservative business wear was in for the career minded. Hairstyles for these types followed suit with short clean looking hair for women. This gal has a version of a wedge but is bi-level. The sides are cut shorter than her ears and the back is longer down the neck. This is a straight style with bangs that are brushed to the side. Also, asymmetry is present here with one side being cut shorter.
Lots of fun here with hair and fashion. This is an 80's scenario all the way. Crazy colorful hairdo and clothes. The colors in the lolly pop are the inspiration for this fun and sassy beachwear scene. Bright yellows, pinks, teal, and patterns like polka dots adorn these two sunbathing beauties.

Here is a great example of a 1980s wedding showing the hair and fashion of that time. The bride is in white, the bridesmaids are in a light purple, the flower girl is in a lavender, and the groomsmen are all in light gray tuxes. This was early in the decade and bi-level hairstyles were popular for both men and women. Poodle perms were also all the rage. If you had naturally curly hair, you were in luck, otherwise, you had to make a trip to the salon for a perm.

80's hair and rollerskater gear. What a sight to see. Big mop like hairstyles and cropped shirts were in. Short shorts that came up to your waist were the thing as well as stretch pants. Aviator sunglasses on the large side were also fashionable.

80's Hairstyles had to be puffy and big on top. This era was time for bigger is better. Big hair, large shoulder pads, and bold colors were a sign of the times. Dress for success was the motto and wearing heels and dresses to work was common.
