If you have medium length to long hair and the thought of wearing your hair in an updo for your wedding day just does nothing for you, then you may want to check out this picture of a happy bride and groom. This wedding day hairstyle looks absolutely smashing on her. It is a perfect young look that would look great no matter what your age is. She shows that you don't have to wear a veil or headpiece to look great.

The bride has used a flower hair accessory to hold her bangs away from her face which allows her eyes and smile to be center stage. Even though she is wearing her long hair down, it is elegant enough for a daytime spring or summer wedding.

Her strapless dress and choker are perfect with her hairstyle. They are simple and not overpowering so as not to take away from the petite bride.

Her very feminine wavy hairstyle is reminiscent of days gone by. It is inspired by the vintage hairstyles of the 1940's when women like Rita Hayworth set the standard for feminine with her finger waves and side parted hair.

To get a similar look for yourself, start with a curl enhancing shampoo and conditioner. This will help enhance your waves. Use a little styling cream prior to blow-drying hair. Blow-dry hair in sections using a large round brush and pulling up at the roots to give a little lift. Separate hair into sections and starting with the underneath layers, take a small section of hair and rock a flat iron back and fourth while continuing to move the iron down the hair shaft to the ends. It is a good idea to practice this with the flat iron off until you get the hang of it. The best flat irons to use for this are ones that have rounded ends and are narrow like the T3 tourmaline flat iron. Tourmaline gives off ions that seal the cuticle and give hair a healthy and shiny look.

By all means practice your wedding day hairstyles well in advance of the wedding. If you are planning to have your hairstylist style your hair for the big day, plan a trial run before the wedding.

Here is another example of cascading waves on a medium length wedding hairstyle. She is wearing her hair down in the back with the front and sides pulled back. She has used a hair accessory to accent her look and she is wearing a viel. She has wisps of hair framing her face and they are nicely done.
