Alex has pulled her strands straight back from the forehead and made a big twisty knot that sits high on the crown of the head.
This is a super easy way to pull the hair up for a formal occasion that is not too perfect looking. Just gather the mane up into a ponytail and instead of pulling all the way through, stop and leave it in a mushroom shape. This shot was taken at  "The Amazing Spider-Man" Los Angeles Premiere.
