When we have hair problems that cause stress and anxiety, sometimes it is just best to embrace our inherent traits and just go with them. Spending time blow-drying and straightening is not only time consuming, but can be damaging over time. Here are some examples of how curly and frizzy locks can actually be an asset. These women play up their natural born kinks and use them to their advantage.
Frizzy Hair
The above photo shows how big and fluffy can be fun and unique. This gal has enhanced her dark color with shades of red to add interest. She just lets her mane go every which way and she looks beautiful. It looks as though the top section is pulled back and secured to keep this area down while the sides just do their thing.
Teen with Tight Curls
This teen girl has a great head of curls. Some light blonde highlights help to add more dimension. Allowing the hair to dry naturally while taking sections and twisting them will help to define the cork screw look. Using an anti-frizz product may be helpful.
Curly Redhead
This redhead has a short version and it is a softer look which looks a though she may have tipped upside down and focused some light heat while tossing the strands around a bit. While still partially wet, twist a few sections around the face to get more definition of curl.
Funky
This is an edgy option that is unexpectedly glamorous. Partially blowing out the curls and using a flat iron to touch up a few areas (on completely dry sections) where straighter is desired and then allowing the rest to do its thing.
A helpful hint to preserve the health of the locks is to not shampoo every day but rather get the strands wet and run a creme rinse through or conditioner only and then style.
