This hairstyle by Mandy Moore could have stepped right out of 1970 something. The feathered back effect that was popularized by Farrah Fawcett during the 70s is showing up on many celebrities. The center part with bangs brushed to the sides at about eye level is part of the package. What a great retro hairdo for medium to long hair.
The way this style was achieved back in the day was to use a brush to twirl the hair back while blow-drying and then a curling iron was used to touch up. Now days, we have large round brushes to help with this. A good cut is the best place to start. Graduated lengths around the front are what is needed.
Mandy is a pop singer and actress. The above photo of her was taken at MTV's TRL taping on June 19 2007.
The picture below is of someone else with a similar style, read on to find out more.
This picture was taken in 1978 and shows the close similarities of these two hairstyles. This vintage picture is not the best quality but you can get the idea.
