60's Hair and Fashion Pictures
Back in the 1960's, woman often wore hairpieces and wigs to help them get that bouffant hair that was so highly sought after during that decade. Especially those with fine and thin hair looked into purchasing these hair accessories. Even gals with thicker hair may have looked into these choices because as shown in this period photo, it probably would have been difficult to get this height without a little extra help. This hairstyle could be classified as bee-hive. It looks like there may have been 2 hairpieces used here. For more help with 60's hairstyles how to, you may want to check out that link. Here is another view of this picture taken in 1966 to show the fashion and styles from this decade. Long knee length shorts were common for both men and women and we see these styles again today. There was also another popular length that was just past the knees and these were referred to as peddle-pushers. Shorter lengths were also in and they were usually rolled up. Eye-glasses for men were usually thick framed and black.
