Emmy Rossum looks lovely here with her long brown loose waves. Her hair is parted is parted in the middle and bang-less with gentle curls that begin at about the chin. This seems to be a hot look for the celebrities this Spring and is reminiscent of retro days gone by as shown in this picture which shows a woman in the 70's with a similar hairdo. The top portion here is smooth and the use of a 3/4" inch barreled curling iron can be used on dry hair to help get this effect. Wind sections around at least 3 times and then allow to cool before styling. Very gently brush through the strands from underneath to help keep the definition of the bends.

What a great picture of a vintage 1950's bride complete with glamour make-up, princess-like crown and veil, and suit-like wedding dress. The bridal bouquet is beautiful with big Lily's. Women of this time period wore dark red lipstick and dark pencil for eyebrows. The hair is pulled back in a bang-less updo to showcase her lovely face and the beaded and intricately patterned crown adds to the fancy occasion. What a great photo to show what our mothers and grandmothers looked on their big day.

Heidi Montag has great long and loose waves. A side part with long bangs that are swept to the side and curled back give this hairstyle a hint of retro with an almost feathered appearance. There is some real definition of curl with sections showing separation which can be accomplished with defining hair products. Curl enhancing shampoo and condtioner along with a blow-dryer with diffuser attached are great helper tools for this style. Using fingers to scruch while drying is one way to copy this 'do. Heidi looks wonderful as a bleach blonde.

What a great example of a typical 60's family and their hairstyles and clothing. This picture was taken along side a pool in the backyard and shows a mom with her short softly curled hairdo with the top being ratted for the bouffant effect, the dad with his flat top crew cut and heavy rimmed sunglasses, and the kid with her typical pixie cut that was done by her mother and very chopped up.

Young teen boys like to wear their hair a little longer these days and this one here is no different. A full bang and sides cut about mid ear with the back coming down the neck makes this style fit right in with today's look for teenagers. The photo above shows a young man in the late 60s to early 70s. He has a side part with full bang combed over and the sides are straight and cover the ears.
