Natalie Portman looks cute here at the 65th Annual Film Festival with her long wavy hairdo and stylish casual tee shirt / tunic. Her top has butterfly sleeves and a scoop neck with a cool screen print. She is wearing jeans dark sunglasses. Her hairstyle would be easy to re-create with a spiral perm that starts at about ear level and the top is left straight. Allowing the strands to air dry would be great to preserve the hair health or one could use a diffuser and finger scrunch. If one had naturally curly locks, blow drying near the roots would help get the look.

The mid 1980s was a time of big hair and spiral perms that resembled something you would see on a poodle. Curly locks were definitely in and here is a picture of a women sporting a pretty good likeness.

As the 80's passed to the end of that decade and turned toward the 90's, the big hair was still alive but it changed just a little bit. The classic 1980s puffy top 'do was about to be put to rest, but the fluff was not yet dead. The gradual transition from top heavy to bottom heavy was taking shape. This picture of a bunch of girlfriends from that era (pic was taken around 1989) shows a variety of hairstyles, but they have one thing in common: curly locks. It looks like there are a couple of examples of mall bangs here like the gal on the upper left and right. A popular early 90's look was the spiral perm bob as seen on the woman in the front row and right of center.

The 1950's were a time when women wore dresses most of the time and dressing up meant wearing a fashion hat, hair neat and tidy and pulled up, a bold beaded necklace, and red lip stick. This woman is sitting in a retro chair that was popular in that decade with her hands folded while posing for this pre-event picture. Her curly locks were all the rage for that time period as well as short bangs. The fashion trends were very conservative with simple lines.
