1940s Hair and Clothes

This picture is a great example showing a young man, woman, and baby girl sporting styles for that era. The gentleman is wearing his locks in a slicked back manor with a deliberate part and vaseline was typically used to get the look. A white shirt and suspenders were in for him. The gal has pretty blonde curls that cascade over the shoulder with the sides pulled up and away from the face and secured with bobby pins. The simulation of rolls was common and you can see one big one right on top. Her short puffy sleeve blouse buttons up the front and is fitted with a rounded white collar. Skirts were normally worn.
