Betty Paige Bangs
The jet black hair color is hot right now and these full and angled up bangs are edgy. This is a long bob and is inverted. The skin is a light complexion and the lips are red. The dress is black and white polka dots and all this adds up to 1950's retro flair.

In my opinion, this book by Lauren Rennells is fabulous.
Women of the 1930's, 1940's, and 1950's, generally wore their hair with waves and curls. These bends in their strands matched the naturally curvy nature of a woman's body which was considered to be very feminine and sexy. Many modern gal's are turning to the past for inspiration for their own hairstyles. Many celebrities are donning these retro looks as well: Reese Witherspoon, Katy Perry, and Madonna to name a few.
